public enum TransactionType extends Enum<TransactionType>
Determines the type of a transaction on a data store.
  • Enum Constant Details

    • READ_WRITE

      public static final TransactionType READ_WRITE
      Identifies a read/write transaction. Only one read/write transaction and no exclusive transactions can be associated with a data store at any given point in time. When an read-only transaction is started on a data store, any cursors that were opened earlier but are not in a transaction are invalidated in the sense that any method other than open() will throw StaleCursorException.
    • READ_ONLY

      public static final TransactionType READ_ONLY
      Identifies a read-only transaction. Multiple read-only transactions can be associated with a data store at any given time; however, no exclusive transaction can be started while a read-only transaction is active.
